Latest transfer reports suggest that Super Eagles Efe Ambrose is commanding interest from English clubs, Reading FC and Blackburn Rovers.
Ambrose who is facing torrid times with the Scottish Champions where he is gradually being eased out is said to be on the wish-list of Reading Coach Jaap Stam albeit if a cut-back fee is agreed.
An exclusive report in The Express also hints another Championship side,Blackburn Rovers is also interested in the 27-year-old Nigerian defender.
Before now, Ambrose was seen has heading to Greece where champions Olympiacos were said to be ready to give him a leeway from Scotland.
He was also believed to be on the radar of Super Lig side Fenerbahce.
In July, a fan of the Scottish champions launched a campaign to raise funds that will take Ambrose ‘away from Celtic forever’.
The fundraising page was started by a Celtic fan named Andrew O’Donnell and it says: “We’re raising £1,500,000 to help Fenerbache raise £1.5m to take Efe Ambrose away from Celtic forever.”
It now remains to be seen if new English suitors or even the earlier linked clubs will do the needful before the current transfer window winds down.
