Posta Rangers FC youngster Calvin Odongo has been a shining star for the team in the second half of the 2016 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season even as the team struggles.
Odongo has been getting more regular playing time and with it has come a lot of progress in his game and he admits it is all building him to be a great player he has always wanted to be.
He scored against AFC Leopards in the Wednesday 3 August league match and though disappointed they did not win, he says he wants to continue working hard to get more time on the pitch and to lift his team.
“I am happy with my progress and thankful for the chance to play. I know everything comes with hard work and I want to try and see that I improve day by day.
“Scoring against AFC Leopards was great for my confidence but bigger for the team though unfortunately we did not win but I am looking forward to scoring more goals to lift my team,” he said.
Next up for Rangers is a game against Gor Mahia and Odongo will be looking to continue with the good run as he enjoys head coach Zedekiah Otieno’s trust.
