The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) will resume on Wednesday 3 August for the 20th round of matches with eight games on the cards, but five players will not be eligible to play for their teams.
Ulinzi Stars will have to do without the services of defender Cylus Shitote, who is on a red card picked in the match against Ushuru FC in the round 19 clash and he will thus be out when his team mates face Muhoroni Youth away from home.
Western Stima FC’s Joash Onyango is also suspended having been sent off in the game against Posta Rangers and will therefore miss the trip to Nairobi to take on Ushuru FC.
Bandari skipper Wilson Obungu will also be out after he was shown a red card in the match against Muhoroni Youth, which rules him out of the game against Sofapaka.
Muhoroni Youth striker Wycliffe Ochomo starts a two game ban after picking a second red card of the season in round 19 when his team played Bandari. He will miss the next game, against Ulinzi Stars and the derby then against Chemelil Sugar.
Gor Mahia will also be hit with the suspensions; defender Harun Shakava is ruled out after picking his fifth yellow card of the season in the win over City Stars. He will be out when his team travels to Awendo to take on Sony Sugar.
