Kenyan international David Cheche Ochieng is out in Sweden trying out with top flight side Djugardens IF and is progressing well if what the club’s Sporting Director Bosse Anderson states is anything to go by.
The defender started week – long trials at the club on Monday 25 January and could be the player lined up to replace skipper Emil Bergstrom who is close to sealing a deal with Russian giants Rubin Kazan.
Anderson says he has a good picture of the defender and speaking to Swedish side FotbolDirekt, said the defender will be part of the team in the friendly match against Gefle on Saturday.
“He has been training with us. We got an opportunity because we felt we wanted to quickly take a chance on him. He will train with us for a week,
“I have a good picture of the player. He has been in Aalborg and made a strong impression there. It is likely that he will get the chance to play on Saturday in the friendly match against Gefle.
“He looks good and could become a valuable player for Djurgarden,” Anderson noted.
