France international Paul Pogba says he wants to first win the UEFA Champions League before considering himself good enough to be crowned Ballon D’Or.
The Frenchman is getting ready for the Coppa Italia final against AC Milan on May 21, which will be the end of a magnificent championship for him after helping Juventus to a fourth consecutive title.
The former Manchester United midfielder who has been named in the France Euro 2016 squad told Sky Sports Italia: “I developed greatly in this season. The departures of [Andrea] Pirlo and [Carlos] Tevez left me with greater responsibility.
“Every final has to be won and that’s what we must do. We want to make history by means of a consecutive double win.
“The next step is to win the Champions League. I still have to improve before I can aim for the Ballon D’Or.”
Lionel Messi is currently the holder of the Ballon D’Or crown which he picked up ahead of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
