Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain are set to miss out on their managerial target, Mauricio Pochettino, who has stated his ambition to extend his contract with title chasing English Premier League (EPL) side, Tottenham Hotspurs.
The Argentine has been the subject of interest from the two sides, with the French champions hoping the man who served the club as a player can return but in an interview with BBC, he said he doesn’t get the feeling to move from the London side.
Pochettino, 44, who joined Tottenham in May 2014 after leaving Southampton has a deal that expires in 2017 but he is reported to be eyeing an extension to see him stay in North London until 2021.
“It is an easy decision when you feel the love of the people and the potential of the club is massive, so why change?” he said.
“We create a good atmosphere on the training ground and I think we can achieve big things in the future,” he added.
“I believe in this project and this club. I want to stay here.” He said.
The manager’s stay at Tottenham has seen the team change from a mid table side to real title contenders.
