Petioners have been floored in FKF repeat polls…
All the three petitioners who had applied to have sub branch elections redone in three sub branches – Makadara, Nyahururu and Machakos – were beaten by their challengers in the FKF polls conducted on Friday 15 January.
In the Makadara sub branch, Martin Kavaya, who was vying for the Secretary’s position had appealed after losing 19 – 10 to Musa Ouma but it was worse for him this time as he was beaten 20 votes to one.
Ochuku Buhari Arita had lost the Nyahururu sub branch Chairman’s position to Njogu Wamugunda by ten votes to one but in the repeat polls was beaten 12 – 0.
In Machakos Kavila Muli who had previously lost 23 – 0 to Paul Muli Mutuku in the Secretary’s position was once again beaten though unlike the previous time, he got one vote as Mutuku garnered 20.
The elections board has set the dates for the Sub Branch and National elections on January 26 and February 10 in that order and all is expected to run smoothly following the completion of the sub branch FKF polls.
