One of Africa’s greatest legends Abedi Ayew Pele has spoken about his son’s taking on one another in the Premier League on Saturday.
Andre and Jordan Ayew played for Swansea and Aston Villa respectively, with the former scoring a late winner at Villa Park.
Andre Ayew netted in the 87th minute, and it really was a game of the two brothers since Jordan Ayew scored in the 62nd minute for Aston Villa.
“I saw Lorient play against Marseille in Marseille and Jordan scored two and Andre scored one. I was the happiest man on earth that day,” Abedi told Citi FM.
“I always love the fact that they play against each other and when they both score, it really makes my day.”
They both moved to the Premier League this season from Ligue 1.
Jordan Ayew was Lorient’s top scorer with 12 goals, and Andre Ayew won the Marc-Vivien Foe Trophy for the Best African Player in Ligue 1.
They even played together in the same team for Marseille, and of course the Ghana national team.
