Arsenal are making moves to tie the duo of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to long-term deals at the Emirates latest reports from England indicates.
The Gunners are keen to lay to rest speculation over the futures of the two star acts.
Ozil and Sanchez have two years left to run on their current contracts and they are seen as key players that could help Arsenal end their Premier League title drought.
Discussions are understood to have opened in May over fresh terms, but with both away on international duty over the summer talks had to be put on hold until the new campaign.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal chiefs are now hoping to convince Sanchez and Ozil to sign, with the latter being given further reason to do so following the recent arrival of close friend Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.
Sanchez was heavily linked with a move abroad during the off-season, with Serie A champions Juventus thought to have shown an interest, while Ozil was tipped with a return to Real Madrid.
