After a series of unconvincing results all season, Sofapaka FC has scored seven times in the last two matches, reviving a lot of talk about the team’s chances at survival but head coach David Ouma does not want that to be the main subject for the team.
Ouma admits there is massive hope at the 2009 league champions following the recent run after the midseason overhaul but only wants the right focus from his charges.
The coach notes there is good positivity among his players but just doesn’t want the talk about survival chances to dominate their time.
“I am happy with the recent run; it is always what I have been talking about. We were not making use of our chances but now that we are, you can see the wins are coming and everyone is happy.
“The players are positive and the two wins have lifted us but I do not want that talk about survival to dominate. I want us to focus on continuing to do well and then I think everything else will fall in place,” he said.
A 5 – 0 win over City Stars and a 2 – 0 win over Ushuru FC lifted the team from the bottom of the log and as they prepare to take on Posta Rangers in the next game, the coach will be hoping to extend the good run.
