The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) will continue on Saturday 7 May with Sofapaka taking on Sony Sugar in one of the matches lined up and the Sofapaka head coach has called on his charges to gun for nothing but a win in the clash to be staged at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
Sofapaka, the 2009 KPL champions are placed bottom of the log after 11 rounds of matches and the coach wants no more slip ups. Going to the game against fellow strugglers, the coach wants his charges to take full advantage, knowing too well that a win would mean rising from the relegation region.
He says he will employ an attacking strategy in the game with the hope that it will deliver a third win of the season.
“We are not in a very good position after 11 matches in the season and that leaves us with a lot of work to do. We are not in a position where we can afford to drop points so my call to my players is that we need to score and we have to avoid any slip ups.
“Heading to the game against Sony we are going to employ an attacking strategy while at the same time looking to defend well so we are not caught napping. We need a win from this match and the players know it and are ready to work for it,” he said.
