Sofapaka head coach David Ouma has laid the blame for the team’s poor start to the season, largely on a blunt attack as the 2009 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions continue enduring a tough start to the 2016 campaign.
The team is currently bottom of the log with a paltry seven points from 11 matches and as the midseason transfer window approaches, the coach says he will be going for strikers.
He says he has already identified some, with just the talks with the management over their terms remaining and he hopes they will aid in the turnaround in the second leg.
“We have not done so well so far in the season and a lot of that has been due to a blunt attack. I want a sharper forward line and that will inform my activity in the coming transfer period.
“I have three experienced strikers among my targets and we will know more about them after discussing with the office,” he said.
