Sofapaka suffered a setback in their quest for survival with the 0 – 1 loss to Posta Rangers in their last outing but head coach David Ouma has called on his players to give him a quick and positive response when the team takes to the pitch in the next game.
The 2009 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions went to the clash having bagged two straight wins – 5 – 0 over City Stars and 2 – 0 over Ushuru FC but they couldn’t build on that and Ouma wants them to fully capitalize on the remaining seven matches.
He is confident his charges have the right mentality and focus to do the job and though with a loss, he lauded them for the performance against Rangers.
“It was disappointing to lose the game after playing so well and fighting hard for the team. I think that is one positive I will take from the loss and I have to laud my players for that.
“Going forward, we know we cannot afford to look back but only work for wins to help us rise from our position; we have to keep good focus and I believe all the players know this and I know they are ready to fight for the team,” he said.
