The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has revealed that there will be no gate charges for fans who wish to watch the Kenya u17 team taking on their Cameroon counterparts in the second round, second leg Africa U17 Championships qualifier.
The match will mark the team’s first ever home game after participating in the COSAFA U17 Championships in Mauritius then heading to Cameroon for the first leg and the FKF President Nick Mwendwa is calling for massive home support for the young lads.
He termed it an important game for Kenya regardless of the 0 – 7 loss inflicted in the first leg while assuring of the federation’s support to help grow the team.
“The match is very important to us despite the huge loss we suffered away in the first leg,” said FKF president Nick Mwendwa.
“But as I have said many times before this is a new team, barely two months old and we are looking to support it to the best of our ability.
“That is why we have decided to waive the entrance fee and let Kenyans from all walks of life come and support what is arguably the future of Kenyan football,” explained the FKF president in a communique to media houses.
