Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi is set for a return to full action having resumed training with his Italian outfit Serie A side Lazio on Friday.
The Nigerian midfielder has been sidelined for three weeks by injury but he is likely for some action before the year runs out.
Having missed out on a couple of matches, Onazi was excited to resume full training with the rest of the squad on Friday after he was given a clean bill of health by the club’s doctor Roberto Bianchini.
“Good news for Stefano Mauri and Eddy Onazi, as today (Friday) both athletes resumed training with the rest of the group,” announced Lazio.
Onazi who has endured a bumpy season this term sustained the injury while playing for Nigeria in a 2-0 win over Swaziland on November 17 in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
