Muhoroni Youth forward Wycliffe Ochomo continued putting his off field woes behind him with a brace against Thika United that saw his team get the second straight win of the season in the game at the Thika Municipal Stadium on Sunday 28 February.
The two goals by the burly forward saw Muhoroni Youth claim a 2 – 1 victory on a week he had to face the KPL disciplinary committee over offences committed on the first day of the season against Posta Rangers.
The hosts got their consolation goal through Brian Toorach on the 68th minute but Muho held on to move third on the log.
Chemelil Sugar were the other winners away from home, beating Kakamega Homeboyz 1 – 0 at the Mumias Sports Complex courtesy of Dennis Onkangi’s sole strike. While the win was Chemelil Sugar FC’s first of the season, it condemned Homeboyz to the second straight loss after falling to Bandari the last time out.
Elsewhere, at the Machakos County Stadium, Posta Rangers were held to a 1 – 1 draw by Western Stima in the final league match of the day.
Rangers took the lead courtesy of Timothy Otieno on the 15th minute but Wesley Kemboi scored on the 26th minute to ensure shared spoils going to the break and it stayed so to the final whistle.
