Mamelodi Sundowns are on a winning streak, after beating Chippa United 2-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday night.
They’re now in the last eight of the Telkom Knockout. Daniel Akpeyi was in great form for Chippa, making sure it wasn’t worse as he somehow kept out Tebogo Langerman twice.
Langerman was then injured and replaced by Mzikayise Mashaba. Khama Billiat came on in the second half for Cuthbert Malajila, who was also injured.
In form Keagan Dolly gave Sundowns the lead on the hour with a splended half-volley from the edge of the box, from a Themba Zwane cross that was held up by Bongani Zungu.
Billiat then fed Hlompho Kekana who rubbed it in with a late deflection off Kuduku Maleasenya to make it 2-0.
