Chelsea have confirmed Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo has no immediate future at the club after they failed to register him for the 2016/17 season.
The 22-year old has been linked with loan move away from the club but is yet to leave, and any hopes he may have had of featuring for the club in the season has been dashed after the former Premier League champions announced their squad roster for the new campaign.
Omeruo is yet to feature in a competitive game for the club since joining in 2012, as he has spent all the time away on loan.
Turkish champions Besiktas have spoken to Chelsea about signing him on loan, but a deal is yet to be agreed, but his absence from the Blues’ squad list means he will most likely spend yet another season away from Stamford Bridge.
He is however not alone as highly-rated striker Dominic Solanke has also been left out of the club’s roster for the new season.
Meanwhile, the quartet of John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori have all made the squad list for the new season.
