Former manager of the Super Eagles Sunday Oliseh says that the current Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick is not his friend contrary to widespread believe that both are close pals.
The former Super Eagles Captain who resigned just after seven months in charge of the national team citing unfulfilled promises and unbearable working environment is currently working with the FIFA technical team for the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Oliseh is not happy that Pinnick is telling the media that they are friends and categorially made it clear that he had not spoken to the former Delta State FA chairman since he resigned from the Super Eagles job.
The social media friendly manager wrote on his official twitter handle: “Contrary to the false assertions being spread by Mr Amaju Pinnick, we are in no way close and I have avoided all contacts since my Resignation!”
Only last week, Oliseh claimed that the Nigeria Football Federation still owes him but the NFF has continued to deny which is a funny episode playing out as the former Eagles star has threatened court action against the football body.
The NFF is looking at naming a successor for the former Ajax and Juventus star on Monday as they are in the final stages of picking between Nigeria’s Salisu Yusuf (54), Belgium’s Tom Saintfiet (43) and 52-year-old Frenchman Paul Le Guen.
