Kenyan international Joseph Okumu is confident of scaling new heights after sealing a two year deal with South African top flight side Free State Stars heading into the new season.
The club is yet to issue a confirmation of a deal reached between the two parties following a week of trials but the player, reveals that he has been offered a two – year deal that will see him complete the switch to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) just seven months after making his KPL debut.
The defender had his big break at KPL side Chemelil Sugar, a club he joined at the start of 2016, just months after completing his high school studies at Kakamega High School and he terms it a chance to get good exposure and establish himself in readiness for the big leagues.

The 19 – year old thanked his coach at Chemelil Sugar, Francis Baraza for grooming him to be the player that he is and the national U20 and senior team coaches for giving him the chance to represent Kenya as he promised to work harder.
