Despite the fact that the match pitting the Kenya national team Harambee Stars against their Zambian counterparts, Chipolopolo in the Group E 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier is a dead rubber clash, Kenya coach Stanley Okumbi is calling for a good show from his team.
Okumbi knows it will not be easy against Zambia who are better tactically; but believes with good focus, his team can prevail, especially after playing to a goalless draw in a friendly match with Uganda ahead of the game.
“Zambia is a good side; I have watched their matches and I know they will make it hard for us but we are prepared and we are very confident heading to the game. All I want from my players is good focus in this match.
“We have been improving greatly lately and I believe if we focus well we can get the result we desire in this clash. It will be tactical but we can win,” he said.
Zambia came from a goal down to beat Kenya 2 – 1 in the first leg clash staged at the Nyayo National Stadium, in Nairobi.
