The newly appointed Kenya national team head coach Stanley Okumbi is ready to work with his assigned assistants, Musa Otieno and Frank Ouna for the good of Harambee Stars.
The coach and his assistants were unveiled in a ceremony on Saturday 20 February and as they settle in, he says he knows the two too well and has assured that together they will deliver.
Musa Otieno is the only remnant in the team from former coach Bobby Williamson’s technical bench and Okumbi admits having him on board is good for the team’s continuity and is banking on the technical bench to benefit from his experience and standing in the team.
“I have known Musa Otieno for some time and as for Ouna, we have interacted severally in the KPL and in coaching courses organized locally so I do not think it will be hard settling in well with them.
“They have the passion and we are all focused and as for Musa, it is important to have him because he has been with the team for some time, he is a legend and his experience will be very important for the team,” he said.
