Nakuru AllStars head coach Peter Okidi was left licking wounds after the team’s 1 – 1 draw with Bandari FC on Sunday 18 October which placed the side well as relegation candidates.
Bandari went ahead through Anthony Kimani before Lwamba Bebeto rose off the bench to net the equalizer but the winning goal was never came and Okidi was left lamenting over the poor finishing though he says his team created numerous goal scoring chances.
Next up for the bottom placed side is a game against Sony Sugar and he says he will be looking to engineer the team to a strong finish.
“In the match we lacked a cutting edge when it came to attacking because in terms of creating chances and defending we did just fine. We created many goal scoring chances but were disappointing in the final third.
“The opponents also had a good defensive strategy that made it hard for us but a point earned is just good though not enough for us given our position on the table. Nonetheless, we intend to address our failures in training heading to the next game as we seek a strong end to the campaign,” he said.
