Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has received his international call-up letter for next weekend’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Swaziland from the Nigerian Football Federation, his club Watford has revealed.
Ighalo who is one of the three strikers for the game has been in excellent form this season scoring seven goals so far.
He will join his compatriots to travel to the southern African country on Friday, November 13 before playing the return fixture in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, November 17.
Ighalo is expected to lead the Hornets attack in their trip away to Leicester City at the King Power stadium.
Recall that the 26 year old Nigerian international bagged both goals in a convincing 2-0 win against West Ham – their second win of the season.
Watford are ninth in the Premier League table after 11 games, and Ighalo believes the team spirit that exists within the first-team squad has been crucial to their success so far.
