Manchester United have completed the signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Armenian becomes the third major signing for new manager Jose Mourinho after the club confirmed the signing of Ivorian star Eric Bailly and Sweden football icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Bundesliga runners-up last season confirmed the switch on their official Twitter page: “Henrikh Mkhitaryan moves to Manchester United.”
Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke also confirmed the move: “This transfer was for us on the basis of an entirely new starting situation a difficult balancing advance: Manchester has made us a tremendous value containing offer.
“Had we knocked it, the player would be 2017 changed free.
“And we have the personnel issue postponed by only one year.”
