Super Eagles winger ,Nnamdi Oduamadi Tuesday in Lagos brought smiles on the faces of a group of motherless children as he showered them with gift items as well as cash when he visited The Life Changers Orphanage in Festac Town.
Oduamadi who is currently on a compassionate leave in Nigeria defiled the heavy downpour in the metropolis to carry out the charity exercise which he said was his little way to touch lives.
The Italy-based star who only recently committed the remains of his late father Sir Vincent Iwuezie Oduamadi to mother earth in his home town in Umunkwo Eziumuenyi Village in Isiala Mbano,Imo State admitted that the dark moment of his late father still lingers but life must go on and he must have to live with it.
“That dark moment lingers but life goes on and I will have to live with it,” he began.
He continued: “I consider myself to be very lucky in life and where else to spend my break than with people who are not as fortunate as myself,”.
“The truth is these kids don’t have parents, so who cares? I guess we need to put ourselves in their shoes for a day.
“The government has done what they can but each individual needs to make an impact and contribution as well, we must not always wait for the authorities.
Aside the exercise at the Orphanage, the 25 year old also gave a motivational speech at De Basic Innovation Schools Green field estate Ago Palace where the proprietor of the school Ogbuefi Udochukwu said the pupils had a nice time with the Super Eagles star.
