Nigerian striker, Osaze Odemwingie has tipped Ivorian star, Yaya Toure to win the African Footballer of the Year Award yet again even though the Stoke City forward admits that the other players in the final shortlist all have appreciable quality.

“I think Yaya Toure will win it again, he has been massive for club and country, the others may be scoring goals but have not won anything” Odemwingie posited.
Egyptian soccer legend Mido also echoed the sentiment of Odemwingie has he handed the coveted prize to Manchester City midfield Trojan.
Indeed, Toure has been the face of the CAF Awards for the last four years, winning the award in quick successions.
Toure captained the African Cup of Nations winning Ivory Coast side this year bringing his nation their first success in the competition for 23 years.
While his club form has wavered slightly this year, he remains a lynchpin in a very impressive Manchester City side and was the only African player shortlisted in the initial roster for the Ballon d’Or.
A win this year would see him leapfrog his former Barcelona teammate, Samuel Eto’o.
