Wycliffe Ochomo, the Muhoroni Youth striker who stuck a finger through Posta Rangers defender Jockins Atudo in the two sides’ Kenyan Premier League (KPL) game is set to face disciplinary charges with both his employers and the KPL management opening investigations.
The striker was captured handling Atudo indecently and the KPL management has written to him informing his of the institution of charges of unsporting behavior, urging him to respond by Monday 22 February.
The striker has also been directed to present himself before the Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) on Wednesday 24 February to answer to the charges.
His club, Muhoroni Youth, through Team Manager Mike Odongo, has also confirmed investigations will be opened after receiving a letter from the KPL regarding the same.
“This is a big matter that we cannot just wish away; we have received a letter from the KPL about the investigations and we will as well be instituting investigations before making our own decision,” he stated.
Ochomo was withdrawn towards the end of the match as his team went on to lose 0 – 2 to the newly promoted side.
