Gor Mahia coach Frank Nuttal has gone absent without official leave to join Egyptian giants Zamalek as an assistant coach.
The coach had had to endure a poor start with the team this season, seeing his side go wilness in the opening four league matches as well as getting eliminated from the CAF Champions League and losing his DStv Super Cup to Bandari.
Having guided the team to a successful 2015 season, winning the league and Top 8 Cup unbeaten, the coach saw his record go up in smoke on Sunday against bitter rivals AFC Leopards and on Monday 7 March, he had seen enough and opted out.
Gor Mahia could not give an official statement just yet concerning the coach’s departure, stating that he had not made an official commitment to leave.
The coach, on the other hand, was unreachable of phone but media reports in Egypt indicated he was unveiled on Monday and will have his first training session on Tuesday 8 March.
