The Kenya national team Harambee Stars assistant coach Frank Ouna has been appointed the Wazito FC head coach, his appointment at the National Super League (NSL) side taking immediate effect.
At the NSL club, he replaces former Kenyan international Frankline Obare and he will hold the job alongside his national team duties and appointment has been confirmed on the Wazito FC official website, wazito-fc.com.
“Ouna is a champion both on and off the pitch. He is a good strategist, team player and keen with details. He brings to the club unmatched tact and understanding unrivaled for the club. His coaching history speak for itself as a proficient and skillful tactician.
“He brings with him a wealth of experience and a valuable addition to the technical bench,” club CEO Luthers Mokua is quoted as saying.
On his part, the coach, a CAF A License holder is quoted saying the professionalism at the club is what pulled him there.
“I accepted to work with Wazito after seeing the level of organization and professionalism in which the club is being run. It’s a good project, excellent one going forward,” he said.
