In Uyo Akwa United returned to wining ways as they thrashed Niger Tornadoes 2-0, while in Owerri, Heartland struggled to a 2-1 win over Rivers United
It was Plateau United who earned themselves the bragging rights in first installment of the Jos derby as they handed their City rivals, Giwa FC a 2-0 defeat.
Two quick goals in the 63rd and 65th by Benjamin Turba and Sunday Ingbede gave Plateau United all three point in the derby clash which has now taken their total tally to 14.
Sunday’s win is just the fourth for Plateau United this season.
