Gbolahan Salami has further dent the title chances of Sunshine Stars of Akure as he scored all three goals in Warri Wolves 3-0 win over the visitors at the Warri City Stadium on Saturday.
The Super Eagles striker scored a goal in the first half before adding two more in the second half to give his side maximum points in the Week 32 Nigeria Premier League clash.
Salami got the opening goal in the 42nd minute to give Warri Wolves a 1-0 lead going into the half time break.
The former Shooting Stars forward doubled his tally seven minutes into the second half with a superb finish off a Goodluck Onomado’s assist.
Salami effectively ended the tie with another goal in injury-time as Wolves returned to second spot on the log even as continues to pile the pressure on leaders Enyimba who won’t be in action until Sunday.
