Enugu Rangers have shot back to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) standings after they crushed visiting Akwa United 3-0 at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Sunday.
Rangers with the latest win-which is their fourth of the season now have 14 points from seven matches, while erstwhile leaders MFM FC have dropped to second place following their 1-0 loss to Heartland.
It was Bobby Clement that scored the opening goal for Rangers in Sunday’s game off an assist by Bright Esieme.
Thereafter,Tope Olusesi doubled Rangers lead seven minutes into the second half with an assist by Chisom Egbuchulam.
Egbuchulam then turned from provider to scorer in the 73rd minute, when he found the back of the net from a well-taken free kick.
