The Oriental Derby in Umuahia on Wednesday ended in stalemate as Enyimba and Heartland played out a 1-1 draw.
The Peoples Elephant were hoping to build on their recent successes and they actually drew the first blood in the Match Day 6 rescheduled tie when Heartland player Acho slipped while clearing the ball only for Peter Onyekachi to get the ball, beats him and some defenders before burying the ball in the net.

Unfortunately however, Enyimba’s lead lasted barely four minutes as Ifeanyi Onuigbo got the equalizer for the visitors as he headed in Brendan Ogbugh’s freekick to level things.
Both teams were unable to add to their tally with over an hour of football left to play. With the that, the points were evenly shared between the regional rivals.
The intense game between the two teams could not but end in a tie and they both played their hearts out to secure points off the crucial encounter.
