Mountain of Fire and Ministries FC (MFM) striker Stephen Odeh says he is disappointed that his team dropped points in Wednesday’s NPFL week 10 fixture against Rangers on Wednesday.
Odeh forced Rangers to a 1-1 draw at the Agege Stadium with a second half strike to cancel out Obinna Nwobodo’s opener in the first half. It was the first time the Olukoya Boys would trail at home since the current NPFL campaign kicked off.
The youngster in a post match reaction commended the visiting side but insists his side cannot afford to drop points at home like they did against the Flying Antelopes.
“I think we had a good game and kudos to my team-mates for their effort. Rangers we all know are one of the big sides in the league which reflects in how they’ve fared so far this season. I thank God the point we’ve got but personally i am disappointed that we didn’t win the game.
“They gave us a good game and i think we responded well even though our first half performance was not up to our standard. Rangers have been around for years, talking about their premier league experience but despite the fact that we are newcomers, we showed them that we are capable.” Odeh told fcnaija.com
After taking the lead at Agege through a fantastic individual effort by Obinna Nwobodo, Rangers had other chances to seal the game but did not and were punished in the 68th minute when MFM rallied for an equalizer through Odey.
With solitary point from Wednesday’s outing, Rangers are now second on the log with 18 points while MFM FC stay in 6th position with 16 points after 10 games
