Head coach of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos, Fidelis Ilechukwu has registered his displeasure with his team’s barren draw with Enyimba International Football Club of Aba on Wednesday at the Agege Township Stadium.
Though the NPFL match day 16 tie was quite interesting, both teams failed to find the back of the net.
The goalless encounter between the NPFL debutants and the seven-time League Champions saw spectators applauding MFM FC after the match for stopping the People’s Elephant from inflicting a first home defeat on the Lagos-based team but the youthful tactician believes a victory would have been a better result.
Coach Ilechukwu said after the match yesterday “ Sometimes in Football your best players may run out of form and you need to keep psyching them up to adjust. I’m not happy because we created chances and it’s very painful that we failed to convert them.
“With their name and with the quality they have in their squad I think the result is okay but for me I don’t think so because as a coach I want to win as many games as possible,” he told mountaintopfc.com.
With the solitary point from Wednesday’s game, MFM FC stay in the 8th position on the NPFL log with 23 points from 16 League matches.
The Olukoya Boys will be hosting Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna this Sunday in Lagos at the Agege Stadium.
