Tusker FC head coach Paul Nkata has termed the 1 – 0 victory over visiting Kakamega Homeboyz at the Afraha Stadium on Saturday 20 August in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) a deserved one as the team consolidated its place at the top of the table.
The win saw the team open a seven point gap at the top of the table as champions Gor Mahia did not play on the weekend.
The Ugandan coach stated that the win as a result of teamwork among his players and he wants to see more of the same when the team takes on Ushuru FC on Saturday 11 September.
“We deserved the win; we played well and we had some good teamwork. Now the focus is on Ushuru FC and it is also a very important game.
“We want to get as many wins as possible so as we focus on the next game all I can request from my players is that they carry the team work they showed in the Homeboyz game,” he said.
