Tusker FC Head Coach Paul Nkata is keeping confidence that his team can still overturn the two – goal deficit picked against Gor Mahia in the first leg semi final of the KPL Top 8 Cup at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday 12 June.
Goals from Rwandan international Jacques Tuyisenge and Enoch Agwanda saw Gor Mahia tale a 2 – 0 advantage but the Ugandan coach believes his side can score three goals and overturn the loss inflicted with Tusker playing as the home team.
The coach said his team suffered the consequence of having just returned to training after the midseason break and noted that by the time the second leg comes the team will have trained for well over a week and will be in better shape.
“We are not yet out; we have suffered a big loss in the first leg but that is not the end of us. We can still prepare well and come here and shock them in the second leg. We can score two goals to level the tie then get the winner. It is possible.
“What affected us is that we have not had a lot of time in training together but by the time we play the second leg we will have trained well for over a week and I believe we will be a better team,” he said.
