Tusker FC head coach Paul Nkata will not be underrating Kakamega Homeboyz despite the disparities between the two sides ahead of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash at the Mumias Complex on Friday 6 May.
Tusker are gunning for a return to the KPL summit while Homeboyz will just be contented with a point from the match and ahead of the game, Nkata has called on his charges to go for nothing short of a win.
The Brewers have picked just one point from the past two matches – a loss to Posta Rangers before playing to a 2 – 2 draw with league leaders Mathare United – and Nkata wants a response from his players as they look to return to winning ways.
“Homeboyz are a new side in the premier league but they have very experienced players and we cannot afford to underrate them. We will be giving our all in the game even if on paper we look like the stronger side.
“After the loss to Posta Rangers and the draw last time, we really need to get back on track and that can only happen with a win. It will be tough but we will give our best,” he said.
