Newly appointed Tusker FC head coach, Ugandan Paul Nkata has been setting his deliverables at the ten – time Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions as he prepares for his second season in the Kenyan top flight.
The coach, who served at Nairobi City Stars and Muhoroni Youth in the 2015 season has stated that his main agenda at the Brewers is to restore the lost glory after the team endured a tough 2015 season under coach Francis Kimanzi.
He says he wants to win all available trophies at Tusker in the 2016 season and believes after bringing in nine new players, he has the squad capable of doing so.
“I am here for titles; this is a big team and to be here you have to win the titles available so my target in the season is to restore the glory at Tusker. I want to win all the trophies – Gotv Shield, KPL title and Top 8 Cup and I believe I have the team to do that,” he said.
In restoring the glory, Nkata has revealed that he will have to change the playing philosophy at the team.
“I want a change in the playing philosophy here; I want to introduce a new system because here players are used to the long – ball – forward kind but mine is a different style,” he added.
