Tusker FC head coach Paul Nkata is elated at the progress shown by his team in preparations for the 2016 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season. The team has pitched camp in Uganda ahead of the season’s kickoff and the coach believes he is getting to know the players well with the trip.
Tusker played their first friendly match in Ugandan against Vipers and though the game ended in a 0 – 0 draw the coach said he has an idea of his first team heading to the 2016 season and notes that the team will be in better shape after the tour.
He however feels his team was a bit sluggish in the match, especially in the first half.
“The Vipers game has given us a clear picture on who will make it to the starting eleven in future. By the time we leave Uganda I am sure we would have come up with our best eleven in any game,
“We were a bit sluggish in the first half but we changed our tactic in the second half. We had several chances but luck wasn’t on our side but we are going to work on our weaknesses,” he said.
