Nigeria will wear their white jersey when they take on Germany today in the semifinal of the Rio Olympic Games.
The Dream Team have worn the traditional green since the beginning of the Games, which has seen them play Japan, Sweden, Colombia and Denamrk.
They will however wear the alternate white jersey today, when they face their German counterparts.
A win for Nigeria will put them in the final which is the automatic medal zone, while a loss while see them play in the losers’ final for a chance to win the Bronze.
The Nigerians will however be without striker Oghenekaro Etebor, who is ruled out of the rest of the Games due to the injury sustained in the game against Colombia, while vice-captain Okechukwu Azubuike will miss the semifinal after a second booking.
Nigeria won Gold 20 years ago in Atlanta, beating Argentina 3-2 in the final and came closest 12 years later, when Samson Siasia led the Nigerian team to a Silver medal finish having lost 1-0 to Argentina in the final in 2008.
