Witbank Spurs moved to second position on the NFD table after beating Mthatha Bucks in a five goal thriller, while Milano United edged out Santos is a Cape Town derby.

Milano were on the score-sheet just a few minutes from half time, netting via an own goal after a long throw-in by Ebrahim Seedat had caused problems in the heart of the Santos defence. The Peoples’ Team rallied hard for a second half equalizer, but Boebie Solomons’ men held on for maximum points, securing a fourth straight win in 2016 to move fourth.

Amathol’amnyama took the lead after 19 minutes, scoring with a penalty as Thabiso Mokoena beat Zama Dlamini from the spot after the keeper had fouled Sibusiso Hlubi in the box.
Tshepiso Lietsisa was to level the game up two minutes after the restart when he scored directly from a free kick, following a foul by Mashale Rantanbane.
It didn’t take long for the home side to go in front for the first time in the match, Julius Linkontsane handing Siyavutha the lead via a penalty conversion around 10 minutes into the second stanza.
Around 20 minutes from time, Joshua Sauls gave them the breather of a two goal cushion after getting onto the score-sheet for Spurs.
But Bucks showed spirit to come back with a headed goal by Samkelo Ndletyana’ although his effort proved to be too little too late for the men from the Eastern Cape.
