The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Elections Board has issued the new dates for the remaining sub branch elections as well as the branch and national elections.
Earlier, the polls were postponed owing to appeals filed after the sub branch polls held on Friday 4 December but and the board was getting a lot of criticism for failing to issue a new date after the Appeals Board ruled on the cases filed.
The new dates will now have the repeat sub branch elections held on Thursday 14 January and the branch elections running on 26th January then the national elections will be conducted on 10th February.
“We are pleased to state that the Sub Branch Elections were successfully conducted and only three (3) out of Seven (7) appeals ordered repeat elections.
“The Electoral Board has rescheduled new dates for the completion of elections of the Sub Branch by- Elections, Branch and National elections being this date of 14th January 2016, 26th January 2016, and 10th February 2016 respectively,” a statement from the Electoral Board read in part.
The repeat sub branch polls will be conducted in Makadara, Nyahururu and Machakos Sub Branches after petitioners from the areas filed successful appeals.
