Nick Mwendwa is the new Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Chairman after he polled 50 of a possible 77 votes in elections held at the Kasarani Indoor Arena on Wednesday 10 February, 2016.
Mwendwa beat his closest challenger Ambrose Rachier who polled 27 votes while Ssemi Aina, Sammy Sholei and Gor Semelango all got zero votes.
Incumbent Sam Nyamweya stepped out of the race ahead of the polls kickoff.
Mwendwa, running under the Team Change banner, also had all his members sweep the remaining executive seats – the eight National Executive Committee (NEC) posts as well as the Deputy President’s post which saw Doris Petra go to a rerun with Andrew Amukowa and Dan Shikanda.
