Kenyan champions Gor Mahia had a bad outing in their first taste of theCAF Champions League for the 2016 edition, losing 1 – 2 at home to their Madagascar counterparts CNaPS on Saturday 13 February at the Nyayo National Stadium.
However, the Gor Mahia skipper Musa Mohamed believes that all is not lost and they can still pull a great result in Madagascar to advance to the next round of the competition.
He admitted though, that having lost at home, it will be hard against the team away but believes if their mistakes in the Saturday game are addressed, they can still beat them away from home.
“Of course losing at home is disappointing and we will live to regret that we did not make use of the chances we created while our opponents went for the kill and made their chances count.
“We know it will be tough chasing the game away from home but we are not giving up; we still have a chance and we have two weeks to work on our mistakes and correct the appropriately. We want to go far in the tournament and that is the mentality we will be taking to the second leg,” he said.
