Ahead of tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, Thomas Muller warned his teammate against allowing German national team colleague Mesut Ozil space to find a pass because it may spell doom for the Bavarians.
The Arsenal man has contributed six assists and a goal in his first 10 matches this season already and Muller has identified the playmaker as the dangerman for Arsenal.
“Mesut is very lively,” Muller told Arsenal’s official website. “His left foot is outstanding and he’s always got a great eye for a pass to a team-mate.
“His style of play fits perfectly to Arsenal’s game. That’s why he plays a good role there. Mesut can hurt anyone, especially in London, where I see Arsenal as being a tick stronger than when they play away.
“We need to prevent Mesut from playing those dangerous passes in the final third.”
Arsenal are yet to win a match in the UEFA Champions League and will need a victory to keep hopes alive of making it into the knockout rounds of the competition.
