Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala ahas defended his team’s striker Wycliffe Ochomo in the wake of yet another dark chapter for the player in the 2016 season.
The leading scorer in the KPL has been charged with violent conduct directed at the Bandari FC medical staff member Willy Kishao during the league match between the two teams.
The charge earned him a one match suspension coming straight after a two game ban following his second red card of the season.
The Muho chairman Moses Adagala says the incident, which happened in the closing stages of the match, was just a misunderstanding, and notes that the striker did not touch the Bandari official.
“That case is being taken out of context; the two had a misunderstanding but Ochomo did not assault him as is being reported. He is innocent; even the Bandari official admitted after the match that it was just a little misunderstanding,” he said.
