Ghana Black Stars extended maintained their unbeaten run in the AFCON 2017 qualifiers following a 0-0 scoreline in Maputo against Mozambique on Sunday.
Avram Grant made four changes to the Ghana squad which started against Mozambique in Accra ahead of Sunday’s return leg encounter played in Maputo.
With captain Asamoah Gyan and Mubarak Wakaso unable to make the trip due to injuries, Grant handed starting roles to Alfred Duncan and Agyeman Badu in the Group H qualifying game.
Also starting for the Black Stars were Leicester City player, Jeffery Schlupp and Ebenezer Assifuah. The former U-20 striker partnered Jordan Ayew upfront.
Ghana who were leaders of the group before Sunday’s clash have now ganered ten points from four games and are still yet to lose a game in the qualifying series.
Avram Grant improved his record as Black Stars coach after Sunday’s 0-0 at Mozambique to remain unbeaten in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The former Chelsea manager has now recorded four draws; 11 wins and two defeats in 17 competitive matches played.
Grant took charge of Ghana in November 2014 and led the national team to win silver at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations against all odds.
He will lead the Stars to visit Mauritius in June and then host Rwanda at home in September to complete the campaign.
Grant has been tasked to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
