Manchester United bound manager Jose Mourinho will manage team England against Claudio Ranieri’s Rest of the World side for this summer’s Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford according to reports.
According to BBC Sport, Mourinho who was fired by the Blues following a poor start to the current season will be assisted by Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce, with Soccer Aid co-founder Robbie Williams as coach.
Soccer Aid returns to Old Trafford on Sunday 5th June 2016. This unique event sees legends of world football go head to head with all your favourite stars from TV, film, music and comedy. Robbie Williams will lead out the England XI to take on Michael Sheen’s Rest of the World XI. Turnstiles will be open from 5pm and kick-off is 8pm.
Soccer Aid raises money for Unicef – the world’s leading children’s organisation. It helps to provide a chance to build a safer world for children. 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of Soccer Aid and more than £17 million over five matches has been raised for Unicef to help protect children around the world.
Ranieri, manager of Premier League leaders Leicester City, added: “It is a great honour that Robbie Williams has asked me to manage the Rest of the World XI and I’m looking forward to helping them defend their title.”
